EAM strengthens its position in the Polish logistics market: new 28,000 sq m project completed
The investment management company, EIKA Asset Management (EAM), together with Panattoni — Europe’s largest logistics real estate developer — has completed construction of a logistics building near Warsaw. Construction was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.
A 28,000 sq. m logistics building has been completed in the town of Sochaczew, located approximately 50 kilometers west of Warsaw, ahead of schedule and without exceeding the budget. Fifty percent of the logistics center, which is managed by EAM, has already been leased to Pilkington Automotive Poland, a UK-based company that produces and processes glass for the automotive and solar module industries.
‘This project is further proof to our partners and investors that we invest safely and create added value for our fund participants. Our successful cooperation with such an experienced partner as Panattoni also contributed to the success of this project. I can confidently say that both parties demonstrated their best competencies: Panattoni in logistics development and EAM in investment and capital management,’ emphasizes EAM CEO Andrius Uždavinys.
According to A.Uždavinys, EAM will continue to expand its investment portfolio in Poland. The Polish market is currently very attractive to investors. It is estimated that the Polish logistics market is the fifth largest in Europe. Experts note that it is currently experiencing a golden age — all indicators show the stability and resilience of the Polish logistics market, demand is stabilizing, and so-called ‘Big Box’ industrial buildings remain popular among institutional investors.
EAM is also implementing other projects in Poland. Near Modlin Airport, about 40 km from the center of Warsaw, it is developing the first phase of a logistics warehouse complex. A total of 117,000 square meters of leasable space is planned on 23 hectares of land, with an investment of over €70 million. Further active development in Poland is planned.
